THE PROMISED LIFE
One of the most heartbreaking realities of foster care is how isolated kids become. While their peers are going to birthday parties, taking family trips, joining sports, or just enjoying being kids, many foster youth spend most of their days sitting in group homes, shuttling between placements, or being left alone with little to no freedom. At best, they might go bowling once in a while or grab a slushy from the gas station. But real experiences camping, hiking, vacations, road trips, theme parks, school dances are rare. Childhood memories are too often replaced with waiting rooms, caseworkers, and therapy appointments.
That’s why we created The Promised Life. This program is about giving foster youth the chance to experience life fully, not just survive it. Starting at a young age, kids in our program will have opportunities to get out into the world and make memories that last:
Hiking trips, camping, and outdoor adventures
Fun outings like Disney World, the Grand Canyon, and family-style vacations
Community events like proms, school dances, and holiday celebrations
Volunteering at animal shelters and food banks to build purpose and connection
But it’s not just about fun. Mental health is a huge part of The Promised Life. Too often, foster kids are handed medication as the only answer to trauma. We believe in something deeper: working through pain with support, mentorship, and healthy outlets. Through counseling, mentorship, and group activities, kids learn how to process what they’ve gone through in a safe and supportive way.
💙 Where Your Donations Go
Every dollar given to The Promised Life goes directly toward making these experiences possible. Donations help cover:
Travel expenses and tickets for trips and outings
Supplies for camping, hiking, and outdoor activities
Event costs for proms, dances, and holiday celebrations
Therapy, counseling, and mentorship programs that focus on healing beyond medication
Your support doesn’t just fund a program it creates memories, healing, and hope for kids who’ve been told too often that they don’t matter. With your help, foster youth won’t look back on childhood with only memories of struggle, but with stories of adventure, friendship, joy, and belonging.
Disclaimer: The Promised Path is not yet a fully registered nonprofit organization. Donations received will be used to cover registration costs and to support the development of programs for foster youth.
